CASA DO PAI (FATHER'S HOUSE) Casa do Pai is a ministry to kids who are in danger of going to the streets. Esequiel and Cibele have labored intensively with these kids for over 15 years to help them gain self esteem and purpose and destiny for their lives. Many who have grown up now have returned to be a part of the ministry team. Alegria Ministries has partnered with Casa do Pai. 10 percent of all the income that comes in to Alegria goes to help this worthy ministry. Some of the projects which Esequiel and Cibele have been working on are the following: An orphanage for younger children who are abandoned by their parents. Typically these are children in an abusive, usually drug related situation. Casa do Pai will take them and place them in a safe home on a farm just outside of town. There they will receive the care and love they deserve. An after school program including sports, games, music, community gardens, tutoring, Biblical teaching, and many other things. Training programs for the older kids - in conjunction with various governmental programs. They have had bakery classes, and internships at the post office. Music program. After a donation of instruments and supplies, they have started a small music school for kids in town.   Law degree. Besides all the above activities Esequiel (or Zeca as we call him) has been studying law at night so that he can be a defense for these defenseless children.
